• Sting responds to Bret Hart’s statements by highlighting that the feeling of respect is mutual

The legendary wrestler Sting wrote a message on his Twitter account and responded to the praise of another WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart.

In a recent interview with the Sharpshooter Show, Hart stated that Sting ” was a class fighter, just a top-notch man and he was fantastic to work with. He’s a true friend. I never saw a hint of ego. Just a team player until the end and I always had a lot of respect for him. He really made coming to work fun. ”

Sting quoted those statements and responded, ” The feeling is mutual, Bret Hart. I enjoyed working with you. Great finishing move! My only regret is that I never got to see a Stinger cartoon” (joking about Sharpshooter vs. Scorpion Death Lock)

Sting and Hart fought each other and teamed up several times in WCW in the late 1990s. On November 21, 1999, at the WCW Mayhem pay-per-view event, Hart defeated Sting by submission to advance to the finals of the WCW vacant world heavyweight title tournament. Hart then won the main event that night by defeating Chris Benoit. The last time they fought each other was when Hart retained the title against Sting in two WCW live events on December 3-4, 1999.
