Wible the carsharing service promoted by Repsol and Kia in the Community of Madrid, and the Spanish company Cabify have reached an agreement to enable the car rental service by the minute offered by Wible in the Cabify application, as a joint bet to continue promoting sustainable urban mobility alternatives. This option, which is already available to a percentage of Cabify users, will be available to everyone starting next week.
It is the first agreement of its kind between a carsharing company (Wible) and one of the main Spanish digital mobility companies (Cabify), two complementary organizations that facilitate various ways to move around the city and that, now, are joining to increase the options of its users. From this moment on, in addition to the WIBLE app, anyone who has the Cabify app on their mobile phone will be able to access the 500 Kia Niro plug-in hybrids that the carsharing company has throughout the Community of Madrid. The user carries out the entire vehicle rental process without having to exit the Cabify app, accessing it from the ‘Drive’ option in the bottom bar.
That is, you can see where the Wible cars are and their characteristics, as well as make the reservation and opening, make the desired route by viewing in real-time where it runs and end the trip, where they indicate the exact price of it. Also, the user can solve any incident that occurs before, during, or after the requested trip through the Cabify app, which will put him in contact with Wible when necessary.
This agreement will allow us to have a presence in a leading mobile application in its segment, offering its users an autonomous, responsible, and efficient mobility alternative. One more step towards multimodality that both companies are going to face together from our platforms to offer our customers as many alternatives as possible in their daily commutes says Carlos Blanco, CEO of Wible.
As a technological platform, we seek to redefine the way we move hand in hand with a wide range of alternatives that adapt to the needs of users at all times, showing the advantages and characteristics of each one of them. With agreements like this with Wible we continue to move towards new mobility, avoiding the use of private cars and giving back part of the space in cities that correspond to those of us who live in them, says Juan de Antonio, CEO, and founder of Cabify. Wible, which began operating in mid-2018 in Madrid, was the first to support the outskirts of Madrid with a presence in Las Tablas, Pozuelo, Alcobendas, Majadahonda, La Moraleja, and Villaverde, among others.
Also, it has an exclusive network of private parking in the center of Madrid with 51 spaces distributed in eleven private car parks and 13 spaces in 5 Repsol service stations. Wible’s commitment is focused on being a service for people and their safety For this reason, in recent months efforts have been redoubled in terms of cleaning our vehicles, with cleaning work teams in the city center 24 hours a day that helps us fulfill the commitment of 1 car / 1-day cleaning, adds Blanco.
