Season 2 will continue their stories, adding new characters from the books, as well as original characters. Of course, not all of these characters are good.
The Witcher’s team had already announced Geralt’s mentor Vesemir, as well as his fellow witchers Lambert, Eskel. But that was just the beginning. A lot more names were added to the cast and these additions can provide some clues for viewers about the direction of the story. Ted Sarandos, the Netflix Q1 earnings conference host, announced that The Witcher season 2 will be available on Netflix in Q4 2021. This means that we will be able to watch the new season in 2019!
The Witcher season 2, which was produced in spring 2021, has just been wrapped up. The season will be completed in about eight to nine months.
We’ll be able to watch The Witcher season 2 via Netflix between October 2021 and December 2021. It will be closer to December 2021 for this one, according to my thoughts.
We hoped that Netflix would announce the release date and trailer for season 2 during Geeked Week. We didn’t see either trailer or the release date for season 2, but we did see a special announcement.
Netflix and CD Projekt Red have teamed up to host WitcherCon in July 2021! We’ll hopefully see the trailer and release date for season 2.
Plot
The story takes place in a fictional landmass called “The Continent”. As the main characters, the first season features Geralt of Rivia and Crown Princess Ciri. Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world that is more evil and destructive than monsters and beasts.
Geralt of Rivia is forced to face Yennefer, a sorceress from Vengerberg, and Crown Princess Ciri by destiny. The trio must each deal with “The Continent”, the dark realm of darkness, until their fates intersect.
