The Witcher’s core elements include the subversive fantasy elements and dark humor as well as the incredible cinematography and intense storyline. The series’ awards and the title of 2nd most-watched on Netflix in 2019 are sufficient to show the enthusiasm of fans to catch the second season. We are now sharing all things Season 2 related.
The Witcher season 2 release dates
The Witcher series 2 is coming soon to Netflix in Q4. It will air sometime between October and December. This was what Netflix said during the 2021 Q1 earnings calls earlier this year.
We haven’t seen anything to support this assumption, so we assume that The Witcher will air season 2 at that time.
The season 2 season production has wrapped in spring. Season 2 will be released late in 2021. This show is larger in scale, effects, and likely CGI than many Netflix shows. This means that we need to add a bit of time between production and release on Netflix.
As of now, The Witcher season 2 is expected to be released around Christmas 2021. Netflix premiered the first season in December 2019, and it was a big hit. That’s the assumption for season 2.
It seems unlikely that a release date of October will be announced. It doesn’t seem possible, but we could see a November 2021 launch date. A release date around Thanksgiving would be ideal.
We might see The Witcher season two release dates announced at WitcherCon, July 9. This would be huge. Fans would then know when they can expect the new season.
We’ll keep an eye on The Witcher season 2, which will be released on Netflix. Stay tuned to find out more about the new season on one of the top Netflix shows in 2021.
