This is the first non- Netflix series to make its way into the Nielsen’s list of the top-steaming shows. Undoubtedly the arrival of a third season was confirmed. The Boys Season 3 will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
The Boys Season 3
The Boys is an American superhero streaming television series. The series is set in a world where individuals having superpowers work for a company named Vought International and are recognized by the general public. The so-called heroes are actually corrupt and arrogant. The Boys is a group whose main aim is to bring down Vought International along with the corrupt heroes.
It is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series has been developed by Eric Kripke and was originally created for Prime Video.
When will the Season 3 get its release?
The first season of the show made its debut on 26th July, 2019.The second season was premiered on 4th September, 2020. But even before the second season was on air, the third season of The Boys was greenlit. On the announcement of the renewal, Kripke, the showrunner made a statement in this past summer’s comic con,
“Amazon, in a bold and historic push to expand their ‘weirdo’ demographic, has greenlit Season 3 of The Boys. The writers and I are hard at work in the (virtual) writer’s room and we’re sad to say, the world has given us way too much material.”
It was also revealed that they might start shooting for the third season in the beginning of 2021. It all depends how situation turns out concerning the current Covid-19 pandemic situation.
So, we are anticipating that the upcoming season might get released near the end on 2021 at the earliest. And if not so, then it’ll surely be out in 2022.
Who will be in the cast?
We are expecting the second season cast to make a rebound along with the hope of seeing some new faces. The season two lineup was as follows:

The character of Congresswoman Victoria Neuman played by Claudia Doumit will be turned into a series regular. Same goes for the character of Ashley Barrett played by Colby Minifie.
Jensen Ackles is going to enter the cast list and would play the role of The Soldier Boy. There are also some rumours regarding Jeffrey Dean Morgan grabbing a role in the upcoming season of The Boys.
Till now, we only know the first episode is named ‘Payback’ and has been written by Craig Rosenberg. So there’s smell of some revenge which surely makes the fans excited.
