These days Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy tournament is being played. In this, Kerala opening batsman Mohammad Azharuddin (Mohammed Azharuddeen) has done wonders by scoring a century in just 37 balls.

The Kerala batsman did this feat in the Elite Group E match played against Mumbai on Wednesday. In his 54-ball innings, the 26-year-old young batsman hit an unbeaten 137 runs to give his team its second consecutive win in the tournament. In this matchless innings, he hit 11 fours and 9 sixes.

This batsman played this innings against a strong team like Mumbai in this match played on the home ground of Mumbai, when the Kerala team was chasing the target from the mountain of 197 runs. Seeing this explosive inning, India’s former explosive opening batsman Virender Sehwag also could not stop himself from praising him.

Sehwag praised this batsman and wrote, ‘Wow Azharuddin! There is something really special in this kind of batting against Mumbai. Standing till the end, scoring 137 * off 54 balls. Enjoyed this innings completely.

The Kerala Cricket Association is also impressed by this amazing performance of this young player and has announced a reward of Rs 1000 per run for this innings to Azharuddin. That is, Azhar, who scored 137 runs, will get 1 lakh 37 thousand rupees in the award.

KCA Secretary Shrijit V Nair told news agency IANS, ‘This is a great moment for Kerala cricket. We have decided to honor Mohammad Azharuddin’s great performance and with immediate effect, we will give him Rs. 1000 per run i.e. Rs. 1,37,000.

This century of young Azhar is the third fastest century by any Indian batsman in T20 cricket. Earlier, Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma have scored fast centuries from Azhar. This is the first century from Kerala in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
