Written and illiustrated by Akihiti Tsukushi, Made in Abyss Season 2 is a Japanese manga series of which Kinema Citrus made an anime television series adaptation. The first season was on air from 7th July to 29th September, 2017., A sequel film premiered On 17th January,2020 in Japan which was earlier scheduled to released in US on 11th April, 2020 but got postponed due to the Covid-19 global pandemic shutdown.
This season plot is mainly around a transient youngster, Riko, and he wants to be a ‘Delver’ like her mother. In hopes of finding her mother, this young orphan finds and befriends a humanoid robot Reg and descends with him into the ‘Abyss’ which leads deep into the earth.

A lot of devotees of the show have been asking if it would be back with another season. However, no updates are there since its initial release date in April 2020 got postponed due to the Cvid-19 pandemic. The creation of the Made in Abyss season 2 got hampered, however since the last season came out three years ago, it can be assumed that soon we will be getting updates on the release dates of the much-awaited Season 2 of Made in Abyss. In the past season, we got a closure note saying “To be continued” which definitely means the fans can get excited for the second season.
