Israel Adesanya claims that there is no way that his fight with Jon Jones will not happen.

The Last Stylebender also spoke about being patient and not hastily campaigning to fight Jones right away.

UFC: In an interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya opened on a myriad of topics. Helwani questioned Adesanya about what would happen if he wins Jon Jones’ older UFC Light Heavyweight belt but the latter refrains from returning into the branch.

He pointed out that Jones could probably end up fighting the winner of the UFC Heavyweight Championship matchup involving reigning TitleHolder Stipe Miocic and challenger, Francis Ngannou. Thinking about the factors at play, there’s really a realistic likelihood that the struggle between Adesanya and Jones may not come to fruition.

Israel Adesanya, however, asserted that he’s quite confident that the highly awaited grudge match between him and Jon Jones would surely appear to be. The Previous Stylebender stated —

“There’s ego. His insecurity and his self Trust me. I know this guy (Jon Jones). It will happen. There’s no way that fight’s not gonna happen.”

In addition, when probed as to why he isn’t campaigning to face Jones right now rather than next year, Adesanya stated.

“Be patient. A lot of individuals lose their life because they don’t have patience. They want things now.”

Adesanya added that should Jones win the UFC Heavyweight Championship, he would challenge him for the same and eventually become an extravagant three-weight UFC winner, holding the Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Heavyweight belts.
