• Gargano will have his first title defense in the special episode of the Year-End Awards 2020
  • Roderick Strong will face Pete Dunne head-to-head

During WWE NXT broadcasts through the USA Network, several matchups have been confirmed to take place on next week’s episode.

The most striking showdown on the card will be the one that will put the North American Championship on the line between Johnny Gargano and Leon Ruff. After Gargano’s victory at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Leon has had to fend for himself without an accompanying title. The former starter achieved an important victory against Timothy Thatcher this week, for which William Regal decided to give gold a new chance.

Roderick Strong to face Pete Dunne

In addition to the aforementioned title crossover, WWE confirmed at the last minute that Roderick Strong will have a heads-up against Pete Dunne. The latter has rivaled the Undisputed Era in recent weeks, having multiple crosses against Kyle O’Reilly and participating in the WarGames match as part of Pat McAfee’s team. Midway through tonight’s central event between Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream, Dunne appeared at ringside to attack Roderick Strong and drive him away from Cole’s equine.

The next episode of NXT will take place on December 30 from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. Let’s remember that, in addition to the previously mentioned matches, this edition of the yellow show will host the 2020 Year-End Awards. The award was announced a few hours ago, including the list of nominees that fans can vote on through social networks.
