‘Gravity Falls’ – an American cartoon series, moored on solving mysteries. It is a quick-witted series available on Disney, created by Alex Hirsch. The episodes can be watched online on Hotstar kids, or Netflix.
The first season of ‘Gravity Falls’ aired on June 15, 2012 with second season on August 1, 2014. The show came to a climax with a one-hour finale – ‘Weirdmageddon 3; Take Back The Falls’ on February 15, 2016.
Cast
The principal characters include – Dipper Pines, Mabel Pines, Grunkle Stan, Soos Ramirez and Wendy Corduray. They are led by the voices of Jason Ritter, Kristen Schaal, Alex Hirsch and Linda Cardellini.
Plot Summary
The series adheres to the venturesome of Dipper Pines and his twin sister Mabel Pines. They are sent to spend their summer with their great-uncle Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon. It is an esoteric town full of supernatural creatures and paranormal activities.
During their stay, the kids also assist Stan in running ‘Mystery Shack.’ It is a tourist trap which he owns. But, things are quite fickle in the town! With the help of a mysterious journal Dipper discovers in a forest, they begin to unravel the ongoing mysteries.
Apart from this, the appearances of Wendy Corduray, Soos Ramirez and other miscellany of characters make the things way more jocose. Thus, making it a very groovy Summer Vacay.
‘Gravity Falls’ has a multi-generational appeal to it. This earned the series, a world wide praise for its writing, characters and humor. Laudable!
Will there be a season 3?
Alex Hirsch, on November 20, 2015 proclaimed that the series would finish with the second season! He also stated that it was his 100% choice. He also stated that “The show isn’t being cancelled- it’s being finished.” Hence, reaching to it’s conclusion.
However, he later affirmed that he remains open to continuing the series. If we go by it, we might expect additional episodes or specials. We’re biding our time!
