Each season is different and interesting. This must be the secret behind lasting for about 10 seasons. The first season aired in 2011. The last season of American Horror Story received an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This makes it the best season till now. Now we just see if season 10 can pass that mark.

Release Date

The series was renewed for season ten on August 2, 2018 for a 2020 release. As the coronavirus hit, production stopped. This delayed the release date and pushed it for a 2021 release. There might be a few changes in the show because of the delay. Because Murphy had a theme set up for warmer months and not for the colder ones. Season ten has received $48 million tax credits by the California Film Association under their ‘Program 2.0’. Shooting for season 10 started on December 2, 2020. The release date has a long way to go.

Plot

Fans have been trying to guess the plot since its renewal. The cast and makers have been very hush-hush about the theme for season 10. Since actors from the first three seasons feature in season 10, the plot might pick up from where they left it. Or maybe it is something entirely new. It was revealed that the film will be shot in Princetown, Massachusetts. Fans are trying to link the real-life case ‘Lady of the Dunes’ an unsolved murder from 1974 to season 10. In this case, a decapitated woman washed up on the shore.

Poster Reveal Has Plot Clues Hidden?

When Ryan released the poster for Season ten, a few of our assumptions have a probability of being true. An aquatic theme was for sure due to the filming location. The poster showed sharp teeth-just like a shark-and made it certain that the plot has something to do with the sea. Ryan also recently followed Lana Del Ray, the perfect voice for deadly sirens.

The poster also includes a tatto machine and the show’s title. This might be a reference from Freak Show. Or this might refer to Sailor Jerry Art, a tattoo style popular in the mid 20th century. The show will either have a navy military presence or it takes place in mid 20th century or both. The poster also shares its colour palette with Freak Show. Freak Show had the presence of an infamous sea creature- Fiji Mermaid.

All of this is speculation. As we all know Ryan Murphy is the best at making a horror universe of ASH, it might be something we can never come to the conclusion of.
