This past March, the second season of the favored Isekai anime Re: Zero — Starting Life in Another World finally came to an in-depth, wrapping up its adaptation of the first light novel’s fourth arc. Written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin’ichirō Ōtsuka, Re: Zero was original published online in yearb2012. A manga adaptation was published soon behind, followed by the well-known anime adoption in 2016.
The series follows an identical formula to several Isekai anime. It converges on Subaru Natsuki, a young shut-in who is swiftly and inexplicably transported to an alternative romance world. Nevertheless, this ordinary Isekai origin is subverted when Subaru realizes that he was also automatically given a specific skill. This power, Return by Death, allows Subaru to return to a previous, randomly determined point in time upon death, almost like how checkpoints function during a computer game. Using this ability, the general average Subaru is in a position to beat conflict through repetition and planning.
Now, following the recent conclusion of the anime’s second season, fans are curious about whether the show will continue its adaptation of the novels. With a four-year starter on the anime, much of the novels’ events have yet to be adapted. thereupon in mind, here’s what we all know thus far about Re: Zero Season 3.
When will Re: Zero Season 3 release?
At the present moment, no official announcements are made regarding the discharge of Re: Zero Season 3. The previous season, which was released in two separate parts, had been delayed thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, it’s hard to measure when the anime’s producers, White Fox, will continue their adaptation of the series. Sources like The Cinemaholic predict a release date as late as 2025, but this is often only speculative.
However, Sho Tanaka, one among the series’ producers, has alluded to the likelihood of a Season 3 during a 2020 interview with Crunchyroll, saying, I’m confident that you’re going to all be clamoring for a 3rd season once you’ve finished watching this one. Please anticipate thereto. thereupon in mind, Re: Zero fans can sit comfortably knowing there is a good chance that they will see a 3rd season of the favored Isekai anime.
Who is going to be in Re: Zero Season 3’s cast?
Assuming Re: Zero Season 3 does begin, the show will likely retain an honest portion of its original cast. consistent with IMDb, Subaru is voiced in Japanese by Yûsuke Kobayashi (Dr. Stone, Food Wars). he’s voiced in English by Sean Chiplock (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu).
Furthermore, the first voice actors for the supporting cast also are expected to form a return. This introduces Ram (Rie Murakawa/Ryan Bartley), Emilia (Rie Takahashi/Kayli Mills), and Rem (Inori Minase/Brianna Knickerbocker).
While it’s unlikely that Season 3 of Re: Zero would make any abrupt changes in cast or crew, fans can likely expect to listen to some new voices because the series introduces new characters. Unfortunately, no official statements regarding Season 3’s cast are made. during this case, fans will need to wait to ascertain if any new cast decisions are often expected from Re: Zero.
What’s the plot of Re: Zero Season 3?
Since Season 2 of Re: Zero only covered up to Arc 4 of the first light novels, there’s still plenty more Re: Zero left for the arctic fox to adapt (via Re: Zero Wiki). the foremost recent arc followed Subaru and Emilia as they plan to rescue the inhabitants of Sanctuary who are trapped via a mysterious magical barrier.

Arc 5, where the anime’s story is about to select up, follows Subaru and his allies as they fight to unite the Royal Election Camps in Watergate City to take the Witch Cultists that must be taken command. Whether the anime is predicted to adopt just this arc or continue even further into the series is unknown at the instant.
However, fans are often certain that Season 3 will include many of the story elements which define Re: Zero. In other words, Re: Zero will continue its long-held tradition of brutality and psychological torture, as Subaru’s Return By Death ability consistently proves itself to be both a blessing and a curse. No longer details, however, are likely being saved for the show’s (hopeful) upcoming release.
