
Apple’s hit comedy Ted Lasso returns for a third season. Following Saturday Night Live’s first season, which was a huge success, the streamer gave an early renewal for season 3. The comedy, which starred Jason Sudeikis, a Saturday Night Live actor, in the title role. Production began on Season 2 in London in January.
Ted Lasso hails originally from Sudeikis. It is the No. 1 comedy in all 50 countries (including the U.S., UK and France), Canada, Russia, Japan, Russia, France, Canada, France, Canada, Russia and others). It ranks as the No.1 comedy on Apple TV+. Each week, the service has drew 25% more viewers since its August 14th launch. The streamer claims that this is what the streamer said. This is due to binge-watching, which has set new records for engagement and completion worldwide.
Ted Lasso, co-written and co-written jointly by Sudeikis & Lawrence, is based on the character of Coach Ted Lasso that Sudeikis played several years back in NBC Sports Videos. Sudeikis (with Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt) developed the television version. Sudeikis stars as Ted Lasso (a Kansas college football coach) who has been recruited to coach a professional English soccer team. Hannah Waddingham stars alongside Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift. Also, Nick Mohammed, Phil Dunster, Phil Goldstein, Juno Temple and Brett Goldstein are featured.
Sudeikis serves as an executive producer along with Lawrence (“Scrubs“) via his Doozer Productions. These productions are associated with Warner Bros. Television (a division of Universal Studio Group) and Universal Television. Jeff Ingold of Doozer serves as executive producer and Liza Katzer is co-executive producer.
