All-rounders Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur became Tarnahar for the Indian team, who were seen in a time of trouble during the fourth Test match being played at Brisbane’s Gaba ground. Both brought India out of trouble by scoring a half-century. Former explosive batsman Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman praised the duo.
Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar formed a vital partnership of 123 runs after six wickets fell for 186 runs. The Australian team, captained by Tim Paine, was in the midst of taking India out for more than 100 runs on the first innings, between 200 and 250 runs, but Sundar-Thakur did not let that happen. India fell behind by 33 runs.
Virender Sehwag wrote on Instagram, “If you tell the courage of the Indian team in one word, only one word comes, Dabangg, very courageous and brave.” Exquisite Thakur
Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman also praised the two young batsmen and said, Congratulations to Sundar and Thakur for scoring a half-century for the first time in Tests. Your technique is excellent. Also, for young bowlers, there is an example that you should contribute with the bat along with the ball.
