The Vikings series is about to premiere the sixth and final season that the creator himself, Michael Hirst , says will be the best of all. But he has also shared the main plot of the sequel that will air on Netflix throughout 2021 and will take place 100 years after the events of the original series.

The Vikings have invaded most of England and they own Normandy. They have established themselves on the world stage in a big way. But the same conflict between Christians and pagans has turned into an internal conflict, because many Viking kings have converted to Christianity. So there is a perpetual conflict and a great war between the Christian and pagan Vikings. That is different in the new series. For as Floki feared, Christians are defeating pagans.
