Today is the fifth day of the Tokyo Olympics. Indian athletes will present their challenges from India in many events including Shooting, Hockey, Table Tennis, Badminton, Sailing, Boxing. The fourth day was quite disappointing for India.
Expansion
The Indian hockey team defeated Spain 3-0 in their third match. The Indian team dominated the entire match. In front of the sharp attack and strong defense line, Spain did not have a single hand. Earlier, Manu Bhaker Saurabh Chaudhary reached the second stage of 10m Air Pistol mixed doubles. But in the second round, the team comprising Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary had to face defeat. On the other hand, Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Singh Deswal were eliminated in the first round itself. Apart from this, table tennis player Sharath Kamal had to face defeat against China’s Ma Long in the third match. Elavenil Valarivan Divyansh Singh Panwar and Anjum Moudgil Deepak Kumar will try their luck for a medal in the mixed team event of the rifle.
Manu-Saurabh pair lost in the second round
The team of Saurabh Choudhary and Manu Bhaker, who registered a resounding victory in the first round, suffered a defeat in the second round of the qualifiers. In the second round, Manu Bhaker did not appear in the rhythm and his score was 186. During this, Saurabh scored 194 points while performing well. But all this was not enough to qualify. Thus ended India’s challenge in the mixed team event of the 10m air pistol event.
India beat Spain 3-0 in hockey
India defeated Spain 3-0 in their third match at the Tokyo Olympics today. The Indian team dominated the entire match. In front of the sharp attack and strong defense line, Spain did not have a single hand. Rupinder Pal scored two goals for India while Simranjit scored one goal. Earlier, India had suffered an embarrassing 7-1 defeat against Australia in the second match, while in their first match India had beaten New Zealand.
Sharath Kamal out of Tokyo Olympics
India has suffered a major setback in table tennis at the Tokyo Olympics. Indian player Sharath Kamal had to face defeat in the third round. During the match, Sharath gave a tough challenge to Chinese player Ma Long. But later Ma Long, through his experience and vigorous play, managed to defeat Sharath Kamal 7-11, 11-8, 11-13, 4-11, 4-11. Sharath Kamal has been ruled out of Tokyo Olympics after this defeat.
