The Netflix series The Witcher is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series. It follows Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), who is a magical monster hunter and battles all kinds of mythical creatures. What’s The Witcher Season 2’S Plot?

Season 2 will primarily adapt the Blood of Elves, Time of Contempt, and Time of Contempt novels. It promises to take viewers to Kaer Morhen to see witchers training and Geralt’s childhood home. Lauren S. Hissrich, showrunner, teased that Season 2 will focus more on Geralt’s and Ciri’s relationship than the novels.

Geralt of Rivia convinces Yennefer that his life was overthrown at the Battle of Sodden and brings Princess Cirilla to Kaer Morhen, his childhood home. While the Continent’s kings and elves, humans, demons, and others strive to dominate the walls, he must protect Princess Cirilla from something far more deadly: the mysterious power that she possesses within.

The Wild Hunt is also teased in photos from The Witcher Season 2. The Wild Hunt was first introduced in Time of Contempt and are based on Scandinavian mythology. They are wraith-like beings who chase Ciri and force Yennefer to intervene and defeat them. The antagonists of CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher season 3: Wild hunts were the group and its leader King Eredin.

Anya Chalotra and Henry Cavill will return to The Witcher Season 2 with Triss (Anna Shaffer), Jaskier (Joey Batey), Triss, Triss, Cahir (Eamon Furren), Tissaia(MyAnna Buring), and Simon Callow as Codringher. Paul Bullion will play Lambert, Tamer Hazan as Deglan and Niamh McCormack (Anna Shaffer) as Lara Dorren. Ed Birch will portray King Vizimir. Cassie Clare will play Phillippa Eilhart. Adjoa Andoh will play Nenneke. Kelly Doyle is Ba’lian. Simon Callow plays Codringher. Chris Fulton plays Rience. Kristofer Hivju plays Nivellen.

Does The Witcher Season 2 Have A Trailer?

Although Netflix has yet to release a trailer The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix, the streaming service released a series of character-focused stills giving insight into the new episodes. Official images depict Ciri at Kaer Morhen as a witcher trainer. However, the stills also reveal the fate of Yennefer who is seen in rags and shackles following the Battle of Sodden Hill.

What Is The Witcher Season 2’S Release Date?

In April 2020, filming began for The Witcher Season 2. Production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic in August 2020. Filming resumed in April 2021. Additional delays are unlikely, as filming has now resumed. Although there are no release date yet, Ted Sarandos from Netflix has stated that the second series will be available by 2021.
