The countdown to season 5 of ‘Riverdale’ has begun and, less than two months after its premiere, set for January 20, the creator of the fiction, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, does not stop releasing ‘spoilers’ in your Instagram profile. Nice early Christmas present, right?
So far, the hints that had come to us direct from Sweetwater Lake were that the new chapters would pick up where the fourth installment interrupted by COVID ended. We will attend the Riverdale High graduation, with its subsequent dance (where there will be a lot of drama), and then we will experience a jump in time where Archie, Betty, Jughead, Veronica and others will already be adults. Well, there is still more!
Thanks to the latest publication by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, we know that episode eight is going to be very strong and that Kevin (Casey Cott) will be the protagonist because, it seems, he is “going to lose the pot.”

We don’t really know what Roberto is referring to, but how good the time jump has done the ex-sheriff’s son!
Another of the ‘spoilers’ that the creator revealed was that the dead are going to rise again. He has uploaded a poster of the new season in which a hand appears coming out of the ground, in the purest zombie style, along with the ‘copy’:

Our bet is clearly on a resurrected Jason Blossom … but with the help of Sabrina! It would be the perfect moment for the long-awaited ‘crossover’ of both series. It wouldn’t be the first time in Spellman fiction someone had been brought back to life, and now that the series is canceled, it would be the perfect time!
Well, we only have a little over a month left and down for the ‘Riverdale’ season 5 premiere.
