The second season of the popular anime series, The Rising of the Shield Hero, is in the works, but it will be delayed until later. The series is inspired by AnekoYusagi’s light novels. Crunchyroll announced at their 2019 Crunchyroll Expo that they will be bringing back the series for two more seasons. The Rising of the Shield Hero’s second season will see the production of animation studio Kinema Citrus as well as DR Movie. It will reveal many interesting plotlines that could impact the future of Naofumi and her company.
The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2 Confirmed Release Timeline
Shield Hero 1 was broadcast its first episode on Jan 9, 2009; after telecasting 25 episodes in 23-minute segments, the season concluded on May 26, 2019.
The first season later became available to stream on Crunchyroll for American viewers and FUNimation.
Shield Hero season 2 will have the same fate. It will be available in October 2021.

Who’s in the cast for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2?
The trailer of “The Rising of the Shield Hero,” Season 2 may have been a teaser for Naofumi or his group, but it did provide information about the cast of Season 2. The trailer for “The Rising of the Shield Hero” Season 2 has already revealed that many of the voice actors from Season 1 will also be returning. Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, and Rina Hidaka portray Naofumi. Yoshitaka Yoshimura portrays Motoyasu Kitamura. Yoshitaka Nagayamaya portrays Itsuki Kawasumi. Maaya Umida portrays Melty.
Hidaka is scheduled to be on a panel for the 2021 Crunchyroll Expo. They meet virtually every August 5-7. Keep checking back for details on their characters and plans.
The trailer also confirmed that there were some changes to the Season 2 production staff. Masato Jibo will be taking over Takao Abo’s position as director. Kinema Citrus is the animation studio that produced the series in Season 1. They will now be collaborating with DR Movie, a South Korean animation production studio. Masahiro Suewa, the animator of anime characters, will be back along with Kevin Penkin as the soundtrack composer.
What is the Plot of The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2?
Crunchyroll revealed a brand new visual theme for the Japanese anime series. The trailer for the second season is also available. Naofumi iwatani, a young, adventurous, and easygoing protagonist of the series is also available. He travels with Raphtalia (and Filo) to a parallel world where he will be one of the Cardinal Heroes. Naofumi is drawn into a web of friendships and betrayals as he fights against the evil forces that threaten his new world. He faces Glass in the finale. There will be another wave of enemies in the new season. Naofumi, his company, will once again fight it.
