Finally, The Matrix franchise has announced the release date of the fourth instalment of their said series and fans all over the world are about to jump in joy. Third instalment released on 5th November, 2003 i.e, seventeen years ago. The cyberpunk film is produced, co-written and directed by Lana Wachowski, who co-directed and co-wrote three of the previous films. The film will be jointly produced by Village Roadshow Pictures, Wachowskis Productions and Silver Pictures and is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures theatrically. In Addition the film will also release digitally on HBO Max in the United States of America.

The Plot Of The Matrix 4
The matrix franchise depicts a futuristic world where intelligent self-aware machines have dominated the future world. The rebellious machines go against their human creators as a result humans cut out the machines power supply by covering the sky with clouds. This enraged the self-aware machines and a war ensues between them and mankind. The machines in the war and capture humans. The captured humans are used as a source of bio electric thermal energy by restricting them in pods while their minds are connected to a simulated reality called The Matrix. The main characters of the of the film namely Neo, Morpheus and Trinity are able to gain superhuman abilities by taking advantage of the understanding the true nature of the Matrix. The Matrix does resemble the real world but in a more futuristic 21 century set up of a western Mega city. In the first three movies, we realize that Neo is The One who can help rescue captured humans from the simulated reality.
The Plot and title for the fourth instalment of The Matrix has not been disclosed yet by the makers. But will surely have a different take of story line since the 2003 instalment.

Originally, the cyberpunk was to release on 22nd December 2022. But due to the corona virus crisis, the release date has been shifted to April 2022.
