The Electric State , the film adaptation of Simon Stålenhag’s Loop Stories graphic novel, has found its leading lady . According to Deadline , Millie Bobby Brown has joined the project that will be directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo . Originally, Andy Muschietti was the candidate to get behind the scenes of the film, but the director is now busy with The Flash , the solo film of the DC film universe about the Scarlet Corridor played by Ezra Miller.. The Russo brothers will also be in charge of producing the project. Muschietti and his sister Barbara will also serve as producers.
At the moment, there is no official date to start filming, but considering that Brown has the fourth season of Stranger Things in his hands and that the Russos will begin production of The Gray Man next month, it is likely that The Electric State get your cameras up and running in late 2021 or early 2022 .
The Electric State will feature a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely , who previously worked with the Russo brothers on Avengers: Endgame. Set in a future where robots and humans live in relative harmony, the film follows a teenage girl (Brown) who realizes that a strange robot has been sent by her missing sibling. She and the robot begin the search for her brother and in the process uncover a major conspiracy.
In addition to the fourth installment of Stranger Things , Brown has ahead of the films Godzilla vs Kong and Damsel . The Russo brothers, meanwhile, will be behind the scenes of The Gray Man , Netflix’s most expensive production to date, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.
