The Boys are coming back for a third season and it is going to be bigger and better than ever. The Boys is an American Superhero series produced by Amazon Prime Video. The show is developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. It is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The Boys is set in a universe where people who have superpowers are recognized as heroes by the common people and they work for the powerful company Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. They may seem heroic on the outside but they are as arrogant and corrupt as they can get. The series primarily focuses on two groups: the Seven, Vought’s superhero team, and the Boys, people, vigilantes looking to bring down Vought and its corrupt superheroes.
Season 1 of The Boys was released on Prime Video on 26 July 2019. After a year Season 2 was released on September 4 2020. The Boys in its two-season has proved that it is one of the most successful shows that Amazon Prime has made.
When is the Season 3 coming out? Is there a trailer?
As of now Amazon Prime has not given us a date. The filming is supposed to start in February 2022 and it should go on for a few months. COVID-19 has affected the TV and Film industry we can expect a delay in the release. Season 3 should come out sometime in 2020. No we do not have a trailer or any new footage but as soon as it starts production we should expect something.
The Cast of The Boys Season 3
Although there has not been any official statement about the cast we can surely expect the original cast like Karl Urban as William Butcher, Jack Quaid as “Hughie”, Antony Starr as Homelander, character, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Chace Crawford as the Deep. We should also expect to see some new characters for Season 3. Supernatural star Jensen Ackles is also going to be joining The Boys as Soldier Boy, a Captain America-ish hero.
The Plot of The Boys Season 3
It is hard to predict what could happen in the third season as there has not been any official statement and filming has not even started yet. The new character which is going to be introduced as a Captain America-ish form could be a blessing or a threat to everyone. The new character could play an integral part in the story. He will also be having some similarities with Homelander. Based on the plot threads left dangling at the end of Season 2, it’s very likely The Boys will have to deal in some way with Victoria Neuman while once again taking on Vought International. Homelander could be a threat (like always right?)
