Phoenix, a seasoned pro at hosting the big game, will host the Super Bowl for a record-breaking fourth time in 2023, with Super Bowl XLIX, also played at State Farm Stadium (then called University of Phoenix Stadium), being the most recent. The Super Bowl of 2023 will take place on February 12 at State Farm Stadium.

The 57th edition of this famous competition will be Super Bowl LVII. Phoenix enjoys a lot of sunshine and clear skies, and there are many things to see and do there. Whether you’re traveling alone, with pals, or with the whole family, Super Bowl LVII will be a spectacular celebration. Here are all the important details of the 2023 Super Bowl.

State Farm Stadium

One of the best stadiums in the United States of America is State Farm Stadium, previously known as the University of Phoenix Stadium. The stadium, which serves as the home of the NFL’s Cardinals, has several distinctive characteristics, including a retractable roof and a fully retractable natural grass field that can be moved to the outside of the structure for optimum exposure to the nourishing sun.

There are currently 63,400 seats within the venue, all of which are free of obstructions, and there is room for an additional nearly 9,000 during major events. This specific event will be held at State Farm Stadium for the third time during Super Bowl LVII. 2008 and 2015 were prior hosting years.

Host Selection

With Super Bowl LVI, a new mechanism for choosing Super Bowl hosting locations was put into place. The prior method of soliciting bids from cities for the hosting rights was scrapped. Instead, the league decides on a single hosting location for every game unilaterally, barring other cities from submitting bids. The selected city then drafts a proposal that is decided upon at the league’s owners’ meetings.

Arizona was the first location selected through this method, and on May 23, 2018, its plan was unanimously approved.

The official logo, which features pictures of a desert canyon and sky to symbolize the landforms of the host region, was presented on February 14, 2022. It adheres to the new logo template introduced by Super Bowl LVI.

Fox will broadcast Super Bowl LVII in accordance with the three-year rotation between Fox, NBC, and CBS, the NFL’s network broadcast partners. The Super Bowl LVII will be the last game televised under the NFL’s current television deal. The lead-out program on Fox will be the Next Level Chef season debut.

The new Fox broadcast duo of Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen, who replaced Joe Buck and Troy Aikman after they left for ESPN and Monday Night Football, will be handling their first Super Bowl assignment.

After his retirement, Tom Brady will join Fox as its lead analyst. According to rumors, if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers do not make it to the Super Bowl, Fox may use him in some capacity as part of their game coverage.
