When it comes for the 100, We have got good news and bad news. The bad news is there is no Season 8 for the show. But there is something in the works. The 100, based on Kass Morgan’s books of the same name, aired for seven seasons over the course of six years. The 100 is a post-apocalyptic teen drama that is very much based on Kass Morgan’s novel series of the same name. The show was produced by Jason Rothenberg for the CW Television Network. The first season of the show launched in 2014 and received acclaim for its plot and visual effects. The show takes place in a world destroyed by a nuclear attack, where living humans live in space on a ship named Ark. 97 years later, 100 juvenile delinquents are sent back to Earth to see whether they can be populated again or not. The show follows the journey of these 100 teens and their struggle to survive.
Show producer Rothenberg has announced that they are working on a prequel to the show. The same name has already been declared. The pilot of the same series will appear in the seventh season of the show. The episode is going to be called ‘Anaconda.’ No announcements have been made about the release date of the prequel as yet. The first season was released on TV on March 19, 2014. Its second and third seasons were released on 22 October 2014 and 21 January 2016, respectively. Season 4 of 13 episodes was scheduled for renewal and broadcast on 1 February 2017. On April 24, 2018, CW arrived with another season i.e. season 5. Last but not least, season 6 came on April 30, 2019. The CW has finally renewed the seventh season of the series and revealed it in August 2019

As of now we can only say that the prequel is in the works. And we do not have any trailer or teaser footage but we can expect it soon. The only thing we know that we will be getting a prequel for the show and it will have some cast members in it
