In January 2021, Telegram became the most downloaded non-gaming app. This app has received 24 percent downloads only from India. This has been revealed in the latest report of the sensor tower. The messaging app received 63 million downloads last month where the company managed to add 15 million new users to India. Telegram has got this benefit after the new privacy policy of WhatsApp.
Another name on the list is TikTok, followed by Singal, Facebook, and WhatsApp. According to sensor Tower’s latest blog post, Top Apps Worldwide for January 2021, Telegram also surpassed TicketTock and Signal and globally made the record for the most downloads. While Indian users downloaded it the most, Indonesia is in second place with 10 percent downloads.
TikTok Talk was the most downloaded app in December 2020, where Telegram was not even in the top 5 list. While Telegram benefited in January, WhatsApp slipped to the fifth position in the month of January to January. Signal and Facebook got the third and fourth positions.
Instagram got sixth place followed by Zoom, MX Taka Tuck, Snapchat, and Messenger. Sensor Tower said that these data have been recorded by including the App Store and Google Store, which contains data from 1 January 2021 to 31 January 2021.
