Korean drama ‘Sweet Home‘ might return to Netflix for a season 2. After a successful Season 1 which aired on 18th December 2020.

What Is The Korean Drama About?

The drama revolves around an introverted boy named Cha Hyun-Su who is very secluded. He stays detached even from is own family involving his mum, dad and sister. One unfortunate day he loses his whole family in an accident. This forces his to live in another apartment. In this apartment building, a diabolic phenomenon occurs which transforms humans into monsters depending on their hidden feelings. Now, it is up to Cha Hyun-Su to save the remaining people there. The series ended at a cliffhanger indicating at Cha Hyun-Su ‘s death. But it seemed dicey, therefore fans are looking forward to season 2.

Release Date

After the show’s release in December 2020, it has seen a massive amount of success. Sweet Home was trending in the top 10 in the United States. The show was a top three at the date of its release. Also, the cliffhanger ending has left fans eagerly awaiting season 2.

As of now, Netflix has not announced a season 2 renewal for the show yet.

Actor Do Hyun who plays Eun Hyuk teases a season 2 while talking about his character, “

If I were to appear on Season 2, I wonder if Eun Hyuk will remove his glasses after his eyesight gets better from turning into a monster. I think it would be good to also appear as a monster that saves people alongside Pyeong Sang Wook. Though, I’m not sure if I’ll appear in season two or not, so I’m afraid I will be disappointed when I don’t. I think the decision depends on the director, but I want to take part in the next season.”
