Stone Cold Steve Austin confirmed that he and Vince McMahon had some real-life animosity during the rivalry they had in WWE. However, he says the two are now “in a very good situation” and both have respect for each other.

In the late 1990s, Vince McMahon started acting as the heel of Mr. McMahon. He went on to become involved in one of the most iconic rivalries in WWE history alongside Steve Austin.

While talking on The Pat McAfee Show, Steve Austin clarified that he has a better relationship with Vince McMahon now than he did two decades ago.

“Our relationship is strong,” said Steve Austin. “When we were fighting for almost two years… I love that guy, I’m sure he probably loves me too. But, man, there was often animosity, especially after some things I did. I have nothing but respect for the guy and we are in a very good situation.”

As we know, Vince McMahon fined Steve Austin $ 250,000 for leaving WWE in June 2002. The President of WWE initially planned to fine him $ 650,000, but the amount has been reduced.
