The two traded goals in the first ten minutes of play, with Federico Valverde scoring for Madrid and Ansu Fati fitting it for Barca.
In the second half of it was Madrid. Sergio Ramos was awarded a penalty kick and scored in the 63rd minute, and Luka Modric restricted the scoring at the 90th minute.
The win ended a two-match losing streak for Madrid, which suffered two jolt home defeats in a week to Cadiz and Shakhtar Donetsk.
