Sex Education Season 3

Sex Education is coming back into Netflix because of its third installment.

The hugely successful show follows adolescent Otis, played with Asa Butterfield, along with his sex therapist mother Dr. Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson), as he and his friends navigate relationships.

Filmed mostly in and around Wales, the worldwide hit showcases amazing locations, in the University of South Wales’ Caerleon campus in which the college is the place to Jean and Otis’ stunning home on the outskirts of Wales, which overlooks the River Wye. You can read more about the places.

Netflix affirmed the series would be returning for season 3 back in February 2020 when it enjoyed the help of Principal Groff with a brief but vibrant video full of teasers.

And now, with filming formally wrapped, most are wondering if season 3 will hit the streaming service.

This is everything we know so far.

Sex Education season 3 release date

Sex Education season 3 was another new season of a Netflix series that was massively delayed due to the pandemic. Production was scheduled to start in the spring of 2020, which had been the time that all closed down.

So, production did not get started until the autumn of 2020. It wrapped in March 2021.

Normally, we have to wait about four to six months by the end of filming before the series is published on Netflix. If that’s the case for Sex Education season 3, we could see the new season as soon as August 2021.

Due to how everything is going and how uncertain things seem, I am a little more conservative with my release date projections. I think it’s more likely that we’ll see Sex Education season 3 in September or even October.

I hope we do not have to wait that long. We are seeing a few shows, like Outer Banks season 2 and Never Have I Ever season two, turned around faster than we believed. So, it’s possible that we could see Sex Education season 3 in August.
