After a thrilling second season that premiered in January 2020, Netflix quickly confirmed the third installment. It was expected to arrive in January, as it did in the previous seasons.
But, we are now in January 2021 and still have not seen any sign of the long-awaited third season.

Recently, a poster was shared online, suggesting that season 3 will be released on January 17, 2021.
Fans were disappointed to learn that season 3 did not materialize. Season 2 was announced as the poster and release date.
We may not see the third season of Sex Education until quite a while as filming for the new episode was severely delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Season 3 Is Currently Filming
Filming for season 3 was initially scheduled to start in April 2020.
Filming on Sex Education, as well as a variety of other productions, was delayed due to a global pandemic.
Production on season 3 was officially announced as starting on September 9, 2020. This means that filming was delayed for around five months.
Sex Education season 3 was originally scheduled for January 2021. However, it could arrive around May or June, though that date is still speculative at the moment.
