Sex Education is the best comedy on Netflix at the moment. The show is also one of the most popular shows on Netflix across the world.
Regrettably, it’s been a while since we have seen these characters in new episodes. Everybody is waiting to see what occurs with Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve (Emma Mackey), alongside the remainder of this great cast of characters.
Luckily, there are a few developments recently about the Sex Education season 3 release date. We have shared those release date updates below.
How Many Seasons Of Sex Education Are There?
There are now two seasons of Sex Education to stream on Netflix. The first season premiered on Netflix in January 2019. The next season followed in January 2020.
Now, we’re just waiting on Sex Education season 3.
Is There Going To Be A Season 3 Of Sex Education?
Yes! Netflix renewed Sex Education under a month following the next season’s premiere. Unfortunately, Sex Education season 3 was delayed due to the pandemic.
Under normal conditions, we’d have observed Sex Education season 3 on Netflix by now.
Hopefully, Sex Education season 4 is currently in the works at Netflix.
How Many Episodes Are In Sex Education Season 3?
It does not look like Netflix has verified the episode count for season 3 yet. There are just eight episodes in each of the first two seasons on Netflix. We have to assume there will be eight episodes in the third season of this sequence.
We’ll allow you to know more about the third season’s episode count once we find out. Plan on watching eight new episodes of Sex Education season 3 later this year.
When Is Sex Education Season 3 Filming?
As previously mentioned, Sex Education season 3 was delayed due to the pandemic. We anticipated filming to begin last spring, but didn’t happen.
Production started on season 3 in September 2020 and lasted through the autumn and winter and to the spring of 2021.
Filming wrapped in March 2021.
Sex Education Season 3 Release Date
Netflix confirmed a 2021 release date to get Sex Education season 3 in its quarterly letter to shareholders.
Unlike The Witcher season 2, You season 3, and Cobra Kai season 4, Sex Education season 3 has not been verified for a Q4 release date. That’s both good and bad.
It is great because Sex Education season 3 may be relrased before Q4 (October). We could observe the brand new season between July and September. It is possible with such a short season.
It’s bad since the season 3 release date is still up in the air.
Based on when the season wrapped, I am guessing it’s going to be a little later than July 2021. We all know Never Have I Ever season 2 is coming in July, so that I don’t think Netflix will pile the entire month with two of its very best teenage comedy shows.
I think it’s more likely that we will see Sex Education season 3 in September or October 2021. That’s a good deal more consistent with what we’ve observed from Netflix shows lately together with the six-month-ish gap between the ending of creation and the release of the season.
So, that is our prediction for the Sex Education season 3 release date: September or even October 2021.
