Selena The Series Season 3 Updates: Selena: The Series is a Netflix biographical drama show about the iconic Mexican-American celebrity Selena Quintanilla’s rise to fame because she and her family make sacrifices to achieve their lifelong dreams. The first season of the show, which premiered in 2020, followed the singer out of her childhood in Texas to the release of her Spanish record, Ven Conmingo.
Component 2 will be published on May 4 and will examine her very first English-language record, her 1992 marriage to Chris Pérez, and her unlucky relationship with Yolanda Saldivar, who captured and killed her on March 31, 1995.
Since the launch of the first two components, there’s been speculation about the possibility of a third season of Selena: The Series. Although, it’s unclear whether the show will last without Selena, it isn’t unheard of for a Netflix series to continue with no star.
Will there be a Selena: The Series Part 3?
Part 2 of Selena: The Series takes viewers through her marriage to her husband Chris Pérez, the lead guitarist of Selena y Los Dinos, as her career begins to pick up speed.
She’s on the verge of a potential crossover into the pop scene, her dream of opening boutiques has been accomplished –the world is at her hands, even as tensions inside her family continue to grow.
However, reaching this point in Selena’s story means that the series is careening toward the young star’s murder. She was murdered by Yolanda Saldívar, Selena’s friend and director of her boutiques.
Part 2 will insure Selena’s tragic death, so Selena: The Series Part 3 is not in the cards. The series finishing with the icon’s passing is fitting as it is a part of her story, music history, also speaks to the impact her songs and life had on pop culture and the lovers who loved her.
