• After defeating Legado del Fantasma during the weekly broadcast, Gran Metalik challenged Santos Escobar to a title match

During the transmission of NXT through USA Network, Gran Metalik challenged Santos Escobar to a fight for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship in next Wednesday’s New Year’s Evil special.

Legado del Fantasma provided a promotion in the ring where Santos Escobar clarified that it has been a great year for his team and no matter how hard William Regal tries to get him, challengers, there is no one who can take away the Cruise Championship. Immediately,  Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado appeared where they had a confrontation in Spanish with Escobar.

Later, Lucha House Party faced Raúl Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde and, thanks to the relief from Gran Metalik, took Wilde to nudge him from the top count and thus get the victory on the count of three.

At the end of the program, the presenter of New Year’s Evil, Dexter Lumis, confirmed through a drawing that Gran Metalik and Santos Escobar would face each other on January 6, 2021, and it will be broadcast through USA Network.
