An important novelty will take place in the fifth season of Riverdale on the occasion of the actual pregnancy of one of its actresses. As confirmed by Vanessa Morgan herself, the one in charge of playing Toni from the second installment of the series, her pregnancy in real life will be introduced into the plots by the series team led by Roberto Aguire-Sacasa.
The actress has confirmed the news on her social networks, in which she has shared a photograph of herself on the set of filming in which a prominent pregnant belly can already be seen. “Maternity leaves at last,” confirms Morgan, hinting that the filming of the fifth season, at least for his part, has already ended.
The news that Toni is going to have a baby leads one to think about the love relationship that Morgan’s character has had with Cheryl Blossom ( Madelaine Petsch ) since the fourth season and the young woman’s pregnancy will mean for their courtship. However, the issue should not necessarily be problematic, since, as had already been announced the fifth installment of Riverdale will experience a time arc of several years. Thus, if it turns out that Toni and Cheryl are still together, they could well have decided to start a family. We will have to see.
