Journalist Mike Johnson, from the specialized portal PWInsider, has reported that Royal Rumble was considered the “official debut of Rhea Ripley on the main WWE roster. ” The former NXT champion was not present on the Monday Night RAW episode that aired yesterday nor is she scheduled to appear this Friday on SmackDown, but this is because the company has not yet decided which brand it will join.
His Promotion Has Been Rumored For Months
At the end of January mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE decided to postpone Rhea Ripley’s debut on the main roster until Royal Rumble and that, from then on, she would leave the ranks of NXT permanently. Rumors of Ripley being promoted to the main roster have been a recurring theme in recent months.
On multiple occasions, the former NXT champion has signaled a possible farewell to the black and gold brand. Rhea Ripley already knows what it’s like to work on WWE’s main roster. In 2019 she captained the NXT women’s team in Survivor Series and achieved victory, being one of the survivors along with Io Shirai and Candice LeRae. In 2020, she wrestled Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36, where she lost the NXT Women’s Championship. He has also appeared on rare occasions on RAW and SmackDown.
