Plot summary and Season 2 Recap
The series is set in the fictional Norwegian town of Edda in Hordaland, Western Norway. Climate change has plagued the place, and thus has industrial pollution. The source of the contamination is that the local Jutul family-owned factories. The Justus is among the wealthiest families in Norway. But as it happens, the family is quite a bit more sinister than their appearance. They’re four Jötnar posing as a family in Edda. When a teenaged boy called Magne finds he’s the embodiment of Thor, he sets out to challenge the family and fight people that are destroying the planet.
Season 2 of the series continues Magne’s fight with the Jutul family and the industries. Since realizing he’s the reincarnation of Thor, he’s been fighting with the wicked giants conducting the industries and causing contamination. However, early in this season, Magne loses his powers. It is only till he forges the Mjolnir, the legendary hammer of Thor, that he’s finally able to keep the powers. With his godly powers back, he heads off to defeat the Jutuls. He rains down lightning attack and thunder on Fjor and Ran’s automobile. On the other hand, the two manage to survive in the end. The series ends with a cliffhanger, which makes way for a very possible third period. In case the display follows the customary schedule, we could expect Ragnarok season 3 to be available sometime in 2022.
