On My Block has been on Netflix’s top 10 for quite some time. The popularity it has achieved after 3 spectacular seasons is not surprising. It is an American teen comedy-drama with an amazing diverse cast. The creators of On My Block are Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft.
Release Date
The tradition for past seasons has been a March release. However a 2021 March release for season four is not quite certain. It has been 10 months since the release of season three and there is no announcement for season four yet. This sounds a little worrying because for a show as popular as this one, Netflix announces renewals pretty quickly.
Lauren Iungerich of On My Block has a multi-year contract with Netflix, which means that the series will be coming back. We just hope Netflix announces the renewal soon.
Cast
The diverse cast of On My Block has received lots of praises for their performance. The mains are Sierra Capri as Monsé Finnie, Diego Tinoco as Cesar, Jason Genao as Ruby, Brett Gray as Jamal, Jessica Marie Garcia as Jasmine and Julio Macias as Spooky. The majority of the cast has been constant for the past three seasons. Therefore there are more chances of seeing them coming back in season four.
Plot
The story is about four friends who live in a Los Angeles neighbourhood and their high school life. The story depicts the rawness of friendship in tender teenage. How these years are the ones that can shape us as humans. Also our decisions today result in our tomorrow.
Season 4 will take start with how the two-year leap has affected our main characters. The reason behind the dissolution of the group, Ruby and Jamal are not speaking with each other and Caeser is back to football at the end of the season. We desperately need a season four because there are just to many questions left unanswered.
