No Game No Life by Y Kamiya is a Japanese light novel series. This story is about a group of human players trying to win the throne from the god of games. They defeat him at a series of board games.

Between April 25, 2012, and January 25, 2018, ten books were published under the MF Bunko J Label. Mashiro Hiiragi (author’s wife) turned the novels into a manga series in Monthly Comic Alive 2013. Madhouse later announced that No Game No Life would be made into an anime. It aired between April and July 2014 on AT-X. Crunchyroll also simulcast it outside Japan.

No Game, No Life Zero, an animated film adaptation of the sixth volume, has been released July 15, 2017. No Game, No Life! This manga was a spinoff manga and focused on Izuna. It ran from May 27, 2015, to November 27, 2017. Several North American companies licensed No Game No Life: Seven Seas Entertainment licensed it, Sentai Filmworks licensed it, and Yen Press licensed its light novel series.

No Game No Life – Synopsis

The story centers on Sora and Shiro, his younger stepsister, who are two hikikomori that makes up Blank, an unbeatable group of gamers. One day, the god of games challenges them to chess. They win.

The god responds by calling them to Disboard. This realm is where violence, theft, and murder are forbidden and all things, including country borders and lives, are decided through games. To keep their reputation as unbeatable players, Sora and Shiro set out to conquer sixteen governing species and seize control of the gods of games.

It was featured in Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi in 2014 and received a lot of praise. One of its volumes was named as one of Japan’s best-selling novels. It was estimated that over 3,000,000 copies were in circulation as of May 2017. The manga adaptation was very well received in English. The manga adaptation appeared on The New York Times Manga Best Sellers. However, English reviewers were often turned off by the first episode. Those who have finished the series said they enjoyed the character dynamics, game strategies, and animation, but disapproved of the fan service that featured Shiro.

When Is No Game No Life Season 2 Coming Out?

Many fans thought it would be followed up by a spinoff because it was so commercially successful. Madhouse released “No Game No Life: Zero” as a prequel film to placate its fans. It premiered on July 15, 2017.

No Game No Life Season 2 – Controversy

There may be a few reasons. Season 2 No Game No Life is yet to be released, and may never be. Particularly, controversy surrounds the first series of light books and the author, Kamiya being accused of plagiarism in 2014. This was just before the anime’s debut season.

Many producers claim that Kamiya oversaw their work on his characters and essentially stole their ideas. According to Storify News-Times, Kamiya “apologized to the experts and shockingly paid them for their work.” The controversy also harmed preparations for No Game No Life season 2.

The TV show was also accused of plagiarising. According to SG Cafe, a Japanese artist claimed that episode 7 of the series had a plot that copied his original work. The show’s creators also admitted the claim. Many organizations believe Madhouse left the series to pursue other projects as a result.

No Game No Life Season 2 – Expected Cast Members 

No Game No Life Season 2 is yet to be reported so there are no data sources. Season 2 would see the return of Season 1’s voice entertainers to reprise their roles. Yoshitsugu and Ai Kayano will be reprising their voices for Season 2. This also includes Scott Gibbs (English name partner) and Caitlynn France (English name partner). It is possible, however, that this will not happen.

The challenge is huge and any new cast member would have to be as amazing a secret as the rest of the cast. The entire situation is dependent on Madhouse’s decision that the beloved series will be resurrected at any future date. Fans can only hope their favorite artists keep them informed if Season 2 arrives.

No Game No Life Creator

Yuu Kamiya is the creator of No Game No Life. Born 10 November 1984 in Brazil, Thiago Lucas Furukawa is a Brazilian-Japanese author and artist. He goes by the pseudonym Yuu Kamiya (or Kamiya Ya). He was a co-author of the light novel adaptation by Takaya Kasami, A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives. He began to write and draw his light novel series No Game No Life in 2013. It was made into anime and was voted one of the top-selling light books of 2014.

Clockwork Planet, his latest light novel and manga story was approved for an anime adaptation in 2015. Mashiro Hiiragi would collaborate on the manga version. He married him in 2011.

Why Was No Game No Life Cancelled?

As far as we know, there have been no official announcements about the anime’s end. Although the events of No Game No Life: Zero took place sometime after the anime ended, there is a low chance that another season will be made. (By events we mean telling the Great War’s story.
