During the broadcasts of NXT TakeOver Vengeance Day through WWE Network, the MSK team (Wes Lee and Nash Carter) won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2021 after defeating the Grizzled Young Veterans in the grand final.
This was the third match featured during the show. The two teams crossed paths in a very even heads up. MSK took advantage of his aptitude in the heights, but GYV’s badass style gained the upper hand at various points. In the dying moments, Wes Lee and Nash Carter closed with their Doomsday Flipping Neckbreaker on James Drake for the count of three.

THE NXT TEAM TOURNAMENT RETURNED TO ITS ORIGINAL FORMAT
For the first time since the 2016 edition, WWE held an edition of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with a total of sixteen participants instead of the eight that were used since 2018. Several weeks of competition on 205 Live and NXT closed with the semifinals from last week. MSK defeated Legacy of the Phantom early in the yellow show. Later, Grizzled Young Veterans closed the day on February 10 with a victory over Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher.
