Mindhunter Season 3

Mindhunter, Netflix’s critically acclaimed thriller, ran for two fantastic seasons before taking what seemed to be an indefinite hiatus. But, now that there were reports that the David Fincher-produced series might go back for a third season, let us take a look at this possibility.

While many assumed that Mindhunter was likely over, a report by Little Display indicates that there is renewed hope for a third season of the serial killer-themed series.

According to the report, which cites sources close to Netflix, talks between Netflix and the show’s director, executive producer, and co-showrunner David Fincher have resumed. Is this just a rumor, or should we expect to visit Jonathan Groff go back to the role of FBI agent Holden Ford?

Mindhunter season 3 release date

Since that Mindhunter season 3 hasn’t been declared, do not expect it to debut Netflix anytime soon, even if it does get the green light sometime later on. We will be sure to update this article after we get any more news about the possible next installment.

When is Mindhunter season 3 filming?

To our knowledge, Fincher and his team are not currently functioning on Mindhunter season 3. Considering it does not seem there’s a definitive answer as to whether or not the series will go on, we can’t predict when filming could start. However, we will keep you updated if and once we get any production information.

Currently, it seems like two of Fincher’s projects are in pre-production–Lange and Chinatown, each of which he serves as producer on. If Mindhunter season 3 is verified, we are betting Fincher would have to finish work on these two titles before getting started on the Netflix show.

Mindhunter Season 3 Cast: Who can be in it?

Each of the original cast members has been released from their respective contracts, as stated previously. However, if Fincher fractures a deal with Netflix and gets back to the creation, odds are most of the main actors will return in their respective roles. Including Jonathan Groff, who plays the role of youthful FBI Agent Holden Ford, Holt McCallany, who functions as Bill Tench in the Behavioural Science Unit. Both of these will in all likelihood be joined by Anna Torv, who appears in the role of Wendy Carr.

Among other prominent roles, we hope to watch Cameron Britton (Ed Kemper), Michael Cerveris (Behavioural Science unit chief Ted Gunn), and Sonny Valicenti (Dennis Rader aka the BTK Killer), and several other talented actors. However, the founders may also add fresh cast members if new characters are introduced.
