Mindhunter is an American Psychological crime thriller drama tv show. It’s created by Joe Penhall according to the 1995 true-crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. The first season premiered on Netflix on 13th October, 2017.
The show is about FBI agents and a psychologist that runs the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit within the Training Division at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Together, they released a study project to interview prisoners who are serial killers to know their psychology so they can solve the cases. The series has received mostly positive significant acclamation. The first season was named one of the best television shows of 2017.

Upcoming Season
Netflix hasn’t officially revived Mindhunter for the third season. On 15th January 2020, That the Mindhunter season is on indefinite hold as Fincher needed to pursue different endeavors. On the other hand, the show has not been canceled.
Holt McCallany, who plays Special Agent Bill Tench, had stated in an interview he is optimistic that there will be five seasons for Mindhunter due to the wonderful response received by the series. The cast and crew members of the series have been released of the contracts and are right now involved in several other projects.
Because there’s absolutely no indication of any work going on for Mindhunter Season 3, it cannot be predicted when will the show return for the third season. Fans can only hope that the series returns with the third season.
