‘Mayans M.C.’ is a Mexican-American crime drama television series. It is created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James. The first season aired on September 4, 2018 on FX. While, the second season premiered on September 3, 2019.

Plot
Mayans M.C. is set hundreds of miles away in the fictional California border town of Santo Padre. It takes place 4 years after the events of Sons of Anarchy. This series gyrates on the struggles of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, the gifted son of a proud Mexican family. A prospect in the charter of Mayans M.C. based on the US-Mexico border.
However, his American dream is snuffed out by cartel violence. Consequently, his need for vengeance drives him towards a life he never intended and now, can’t escape.
The second season also takes place in the same fictional universe Sons of Anarchy. It deals with the Sons’ rivals-turned-allies, Mayans Motorcycle Club. The threads left dangling in this season are expected to be addressed in season 3.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season has an approval rating of 72%. An average rating of 6.43/10 based on 36 reviews. While, on Metacritic, this season has a weighted score of 57/100, based on 19 critics.
Whereas, season 2 received much more positive reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has a perfect 100% approval rating. A score of 7.75/10 based on 5 reviews.
Release Date
Season 3 was officially commissioned in November 2019. Since the filming was already on the floor in October 2020, the fans can anticipate season three’s release before mid-2021.
