Filming for the sixth and final season of “Lucifer” began in October 2020 and ended on March 29, 2021.
Although at first Netflix declared that “Lucifer” would finish with its fifth season, which triggered its initial part in August 2020 and the second in May 2021, pressure from comedy-drama fans got the streaming giant to announce that a sixth and final episode.
The good news came on June 24, 2020, soon after Tom Ellis struck a deal with Warner Bros… Television to keep on enjoying with the king of the underworld. Likewise, showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson confirmed that they were continuing with the job.
On September 8 last year, The sixth season of”Lucifer” will consist of 10 chapters, six less than the fifth installment. In other words, the popular series will close its livelihood with 93 episodes.
When Will Lucifer Season 6 Release?
The sixth season of”Lucifer” Does not have a release date on Netflix, but probably the hottest episodes will hit the streaming stage in early 2022.
“We know that everyone wants to know, but the truth is that even we don’t know if the next half of season 5 of ‘Lucifer’ will be released. It’s not finished yet,” the show’s writing team reported in mid-January 2021, before the end of filming.
The filming of Lucifer Season 6 officially began on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, immediately after the completion of the filming of the previous chapter of the fifth installment, whose work had been postponed for several months as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
In early March 2021, Joe Henderson shared that they had just finished the penultimate shared and reading an emotional tweet: “Today was the penultimate reading from Lucifer’s table … never … if we got so excited today, I am terrified how much I’m going to cry at the last … “
On March 20, Modrovich shared a photograph of the rehearsal for the previous scene of the series, in which Tom Ellis and Lauren German can be seen at the LUX. The co-showrunner confessed she cried when she saw the celebrities in this test.
On March 29, the recordings officially stopped. “Today is the day. Six years ago I started a journey with the most incredible group of people and today we say goodbye with love. Thank you to each of the team members who have helped bring the story of ‘Lucifer’ to life. What trip”, composed Tom Ellis as a farewell message.
With the last episodes of “Lucifer” in the post-production procedure, it is even possible that the sixth season will premiere in late 2021, but the safest bet is 2022.
