In the 7th match, Dambulla scored 175 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in the first play. Although the team did not have a good start and they lost 2 wickets on just 3 runs, but after that, the rest of the batsmen took over the innings. Upul Tharanga scored 25 off 24 balls and Samit Patel scored 30 off 27 balls. Apart from this, captain Dasun Shanaka also played a brilliant inning of 56 runs with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes in 34 balls. For the Colombo Kings, Isuru Udana took 3 wickets for just 25 runs. Andre Russell also took 3 wickets for 18 runs.

Thisara Perera played another big knock for Jaffna Stallions
If we talk about the 8th match, Jaffna Stallions scored 185 at the loss of 8 wickets in the first play. Dhananjay D Silva scored 61 off 38 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes. While captain Thisara Perera scored 68 runs off just 28 balls with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes. Despite such blatant batting from Jaffna, Munaf Patel bowled brilliantly and conceded just 14 runs in 3 overs.
Chasing the target, Colombo’s team was reduced to just 131 runs in 17.1 overs. Brendan Taylor scored the highest score of 46 off 32 balls.
