Little America is an American anthology comedy series. It has been produced for Apple TV+ and premiered on 17th January 2020. The series is based on Little America by Epic magazine.
The series goes beyond the headlines to look at the comical, romantic, heartfelt, and unexpected aspects of the lives of the immigrants in America. Their stories are more relevant than ever.
This series from Universal Television has been written and executive produced by Eisenberg, Nanjiani, Gordon, Yang, Joshuah Bearman, Sian Heder, Arthur Spector and Joshua Davis. Heden and Eisenberg serve as the showrunner.
“In a time where there is so much divisiveness, it felt important to not only tell these real stories with all the warmth and humanity they deserve, but to also assemble collaborators from Nigeria to Mexico to India to help bring them to life.”
The previous season had 8 episodes, not interconnected to each other. Each episode featured new actors, writers, and directors. The series portrays the various experiences of the immigrants in America.
The series has 94% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes with an average of 8.92 out of 10.
The series was a great success among its audience. The stories were relatable and could reach out to the common people on an emotional level. People could feel the different situations, frustrations, and happiness felt by the characters. Even before the debut of the show, it was renewed in December 2019.
Even though the show has been renewed, no official release date has been announced. We expect season 2 to get released in early 2020. However, we cannot give any confirmation due to the current pandemic situation.
This series is completely different from others. As in the previous season, each episode had different actors, we really can’t say whom to expect in the upcoming season.
We saw Suraj Sharma as Kabir, Jearnest Corchado as Marisol, Tom McCarthy as Professor Robbins, Melanioe Laurent as Sylviane, Shaun Toub as Faraz, Haaz Sleiman as Rafiq, Innocent Ekakitie as Brian, and Angelina Lin as Ai in the previous season.
What to expect in the second season?
Season 1 focused on some heart-wrenching stories from Epic Magazine. Season 2 is more likely to cover many such inspiring stories of the immigrants from the magazine.
