The Central Court of Contentious-Administrative (JCCA) notified this Monday the dismissal of the contentious-administrative appeal filed by Reus Deportiu against the resolution of the Administrative Court of Sports (TAD) .
Said resolution of the TAD rejected the appeal presented by the club against the opinion of the LaLiga Social Discipline Judge, which agreed to the expulsion from the Reus competition as a result of the debts maintained with its players in the 2018/2019 season.
In January 2019, LaLiga expelled the club from the Second Division for accumulating non-payments to the players, and since then Reus Deportiu continues without sports activity in its first team.
The American investor Clifton Onolfo took over the entity on January 20 of last year, with the promise of stabilizing the entity, but with the Sociedad Anónima Deportiva (SAD) of CF Reus Deportiu in bankruptcy and under a debt of 9 millions, the commercial judge of Tarragona decided to dissolve the SAD on October 20 and suspended the powers of Onolfo as owner of the club, as no agreement or economic viability plan was presented.
