On 10.11.2020 ( Tuesday), the defending champions Mumbai Indians goes up against Delhi Capitals in the final of the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2020. The match venue is Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai and it will streamed live at 7:30 pm IST.

After 52 days and 59 gruelling matches and non stop action, the most closely contested IPL comes to it’s season finale. Even though it has been held away from home due to covid-19 pandemic situation, this IPL season has been an absolute hit with it’s tie-breaking matches and break-neck competition among the teams to secure a spot for the playoffs. The bustling crowds of fans cheering from the stands amd the ever-entertaining cheerleaders were the only thing missed by the audience in this season.

Four time title winners Mumbai Indians will be playing their sixth finale match against Delhi Capitals who will be playing their maiden finale where they reached after struggling in spite of a bright start this season. We are eagerly waiting to see if we are going to get a new champion this season with all eyes on Delhi Capitals, though it seems to be an unlikely situation.

The Delhi Capitals have been defeated thrice already by the Mumbai Indians in this season. MI thrashed them by 57 runs in the first qualifier which was held only five days back.

Capitals have a good chance of setting up or chasing down a good total if the blazing bat of Shikhar Dhawan does the trick who scored a match-winning 50-ball 78 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second qualifier.

The pace and bounce of Rabada, the Purple cap holder with 29 wickets will be testing the fearless Suryakumar Yadav who has been a consistent performer for Mumbai Indians. However, the form of Rishabh Pant who has been unable to score big in IPL 2020 is a worry for The Capitals. Nevertheless, with Shimron Hetmyer and Shreyas Iyer, Delhi Capitals will stand strong against the defending champions.

In this season of IPL, the Mumbai Indians have won ten out of their fifteen matches despite Rohit Sharma not being available for a few games, something which epitomises the depth of the team.

The batsmen have been contributing in the team but the key role is being played by the bowling unit with the lethal partnership of Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah who picked up 49 wickets in total. Mumbai Indians with it’s Pandya Brothers and Kieron Pollard add to the balance much required by the team. Despite the Captain Rohit Sharma not being in the best form, the audience doesn’t doubt their chances of winning the finals.

With the 2020 edition of IPL 2020 coming to it’s end, let’s see if Delhi Capitals will be able to beat the unstoppable army of Mumbai Indians.
