In the second half of Lukman’s 28-minute hat-trick, Real Kashmir beat Mohammedan Sporting 4–0 to reach the final of the 123rd IFA Shield Football Championship. Real Kashmir will now face George Telegraph at the Saltlake Stadium on Saturday.
No Goal Was Scored In The First Half
Real Kashmir got a tough fight in the first half from Kolkata’s local club Sporting. Due to this, no team could score a goal in the first half. In the second half, Real opened his account soon, intensifying the attack.
Nigerian forward Lukman scored the first goal in the 59th minute and then completed a hat-trick in the 66th and 87th minutes. It was not enough that Mason Robertson (90 + 1 minute) scored the fourth goal for the team.
Telegraph Defeated United
George Telegraph bounced back after defeating United SC 2–1 in the second semi-final played at the Kalyani Stadium. United took the lead with a goal from Basudeb Mandal (18th minute) which continued for half time. George Telegraph Saddam Hussein (78th minute) equaled and then Stanley Ije (82nd minute) scored the goal to determine his victory.
