We’ve got incredible news. Season 3 of the cult, adult DC animated series is on the way, this time to the HBO Max streaming support platform. The season doesn’t yet have a release date, but it is definitely happening!

Though this usually means the finish of the DC Universe loading platform, which is transforming to a comics-only e-reader service, the system’s exclusive shows will continue on HBO Max. Including Harley Quinn, among the greatest TV shows from the superhero arena and also the most thoughtful and emotionally piercing animated shows as BoJack Horseman.

What Happened?

On September 18, Warner Media announced the rebranding of the DC Universe streaming platform into DC Universe Infinite, a comics-only service that will continue to supply subscribers Netflix-style entry to a library of DC Comics. The change will happen on January 21, 2021.

In its original form, DC Universe featured both novels as well as the DC TV shows and films. Now, a majority of the DC video library will migrate to HBO Max, such as new seasons premiering exclusively on the HBO Max platform.

The statement of DC Universe’s change into DC Universe Infinite also included the news that Harley Quinn will go back for the third season. The popular show, which stars Kaley Cuoco as the voice of Harley Quinn, reasoned its acclaimed second season in June 2020. Uncertainty in the pandemic cast doubt whether Harley Quinn would be renewed for another season. The showrunners were kept in the dark, and frequently tweeted on behalf of the show to inspire fans to create noise.

After a summer of silence, nobody is in the dark any longer. More Harley Quinn is on the way.

What Will Happen In Season 3?

So, we still sort of in the dark. Plot details are heavily under wraps. Sources tell Inverse the producers only learned the show was renewed for Season 3 two days ahead of the Friday announcement.

On the other hand, the productions have said expect to explore the new romantic relationship between Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy (voiced by Lake Bell) in Season 3. The Season 2 finale finished with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy escaping Ivy’s wedding to a getaway car in a volatile chase that paid homage to movies like Thelma & Louise and The Graduate.

At DC FanDome, co-showrunner Justin Halpern stated, “we would like to concentrate on Harley and Ivy’s relationship. I am less interested in if the Joker gets a new girlfriend not than I am in [exploring] this relationship that we have spent two years ”

Cuoco and Bell are further afield about their own relationship as co-stars. “It’s so amusing not seeing her working with her, but once I visit her in-person I am like,’ Hey babe,'” explained Cuoco. “We are dating, we are a relationship,” said Bell in a joking tone.

Is Harley Quinn Really That Good?

Produced by showrunners Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey, Harley Quinn is both a loving tribute to and also an abysmal parody of popular superhero tales. It is gloriously potty-mouthed, but also emotionally bright and filled with heart. While characters such as Batman, Superman, the Justice League, and their respective enemies make looks, the focus is all on Harley Quinn and her gang of misfit villains.

Set in its continuity of the DC Universe, Harley Quinn follows its name anti-hero on a quest to gain esteem as a supervillain following her break-up together with the Joker. With the support of best friend Poison Ivy, she forms her own set of bad guys, who work together to squash the Justice League and take over Gotham for themselves.

The series is bold and fearless in a way most superhero exhibits are not. The very first gag roasts the billionaire course, in which the Joker shows he cut the surface of a certain coastal elite media mogul named “Rupert.” Other gags comprise riffs on brunches, in-laws, gun control, bar mitzvahs, social networking, competing for marriage venues, office politics, misogyny, and cancel civilization.

There are no release date for Harley Quinn Season 3 on HBO Max.
