Season one has a rating of 7.33 out of 10 on Rotten Tomatoes and season two critic score is 9.5 out of 10. Gravity Falls won two Emmy Awards, three Annie Awards and a BAFTA Children’s Award. It featured as Disney XD’s highest-rated show in 2015. The executive producer of the show is Alex Hirsch.
Plot
The story is about two twins Dipper and Mable Pines. They decide to go with their uncle to a city known as Gravity Falls. They expected Gravity Falls to be a pretty nice place to hang out in. However on their forecast, they see fishy things happening in the city. They sense a mystery to be solved and could not be any less attracted to this mysterious place. Meanwhile, on the trip, Dipper finds a mystery book. Gravity Falls is a mysterious town full of paranormal activity and supernatural elements. The kids help Stan’s tourist trap, The Mystery Shack, while on the journey to unravel the mysterious town.

Release Date
The show did pretty well. The viewers, kids and adults appreciated it alike. Although the creator Alex Hirsch confessed that his purpose of making the series was to tell a definitive story. He wanted the story to have a beginning, middle and end. The story would not be stretched to the point it becomes boring and lacks a story. Therefore he announced in 2015 that Gravity Falls sees its end with the second season. So we don’t have a Season 3 for now.
Is There Any Chance Of Gravity Falls Season 3 Coming Back?
Despite calling off the series, Alex Hirsch loves his characters too much to let go. He would love to create a special or a few more episodes. Anyhow, there is no update about it yet. In 2018, this point proved when Gravity Falls: Lost Legends featured as a graphic novel. While this comic was not named Gravity Falls Season 3, the story continued in this novel.
